This Sunday, after a weekend spent with the parents having more than a few cheeky drinks, my BFF Nancy and I ventured to Fargo Village to check out the ‘Far-boot’, Fargo’s answer to the car-boot! No mud and no early mornings, sounded great to us.
I managed to get parked right next to Fargo which was great, 50p all day on Sunday. It’s been quite some time since I’ve been here so I wasn’t sure how much had changed or if any new places had appeared. It’s safe to say the Far-boot wasn’t up to much, but we still had a lovely outing.
We got chatting with Jon, a local and self-taught artist who is hosting painting classes once a month at ‘The Big Comfy Book Shop’, Nancy and I are booked on to go to the first session on September 6th. Places are limited so if you are interest I’d get in touch with him ASAP.
We both treated ourselves to a couple of wax melts from OLIVIA THOMAS HANDMADE. I was amazed to find my two favourite perfumes in a wax melt form! Alien & Angel. I did decide to go for the Angel this time round, I also got a bath bomb to match. I will be going back for more, especially as I found out they are hoping to corporate these scents into an incense stick which I am VERY fond of!
Last stop was a cheeky bite to eat. Spangles is always advertised on the radio and on my Facebook yet I’d never been. We both had a bacon cheeseburger, it was so delicious! I never pick a burger, not even when having a BBQ but I am so glad that I did! We were super lucky as not long after we’d been served the diner ran out of food completely. The place was crazy busy and they were hosting the cutest Beauty and the Beast afternoon tea party I’d ever seen.
I’d give the place an 8/10, service time was a little slow but I’m not surprised with how many little ones they had to entertain!
I’ve always been a fan of Fargo but tend to only go when there is a Vintage Fair, I won’t be waiting that long before I go again! I have to have the Alien wax melts!!!
