Firstly, hello, me again! I’ve not been feeling great recently and haven’t been in the right frame of mind to write anything, hopefully, now i’m feeling a little better, i’ll be back with more blog posts!
On Sunday 25th June my family, Kay and I decided to go and check out the Monks Kirby country fair. Lucas, my skater boy brother, and a few friends were there promoting for the Coventry Skatepark Project.
The fair was held at the Newham Paddox, a beautiful and spacious place with plenty to see and do! Getting there turned out to be an adventure on it’s own after getting lost driving through a field of cows, most of which were larger than my car, and my mum was in the back screaming at me to not run over any lambs, (I came nowhere near)!
Mum paid the entry fee of £4 per adult (a little pricey if you ask me!) Dad found the bar whilst we enjoyed tea and cakes and listened to the live music, the choir were so entertaining and it was lovely to see the children give up there Sunday to perform. If they are anything like me they enjoyed the sweets and icecream afterwards!
We had already been to check out Lucas’ set up but due to the weather they’d had to keep it covered, luckily the sun did creep out for a while and we were able to watch Lucas and his friends in action. I forgot my camera (sunday brain!) so above and below are just a few off my phone.
Overall it was a lovely little adventure and gave us all something to do on a Sunday! It was great to see Lucas skate his ramp which we’d watch him and his friend Billy build. I was super impressed! If you haven’t heard of the Cov Skatepark Project please check it out! CLICK HERE!
